我本來不確定這首歌的信息 不知道應該怎樣翻
直至看到Bea Miller有說到這首歌的信息
〝Even though you feel like you’re the only one who goes through certain situations —
the only one who’s ever really kind of down in the dumps and having a really hard time being alive —you’re not.”〞
(雖然/即使你覺得你是唯一一個遇到這種惡劣至極、活著很艱苦的情況，但其實不是這樣的。)
於是我就盡量按她的想法去翻
為了令華人能夠明白一點 我將underground(原意地底)翻成谷底
因為華人通常會說「心情掉到谷底」、「從谷底爬上來」 而不會說「心情掉到地底」
如果直翻地底 那Coming from the underground這句就會變「從地底下上來」
也太嚇人了吧 從地底下上來的不是人就是____啊
所以考量幾次後就馬上Backspace 改成谷底了
另外那個writing on the wall也讓我學多了
因為是不祥之兆的意思 所以有想過是不是連結下一句一起翻
可以翻成「質疑從祖先留下的不祥預言」(因為地底的就是死人就是祖先啊)
但因為這2句之間在歌中有所停頓 感覺應該沒關聯 所以最後拆開翻
歌詞雖然又說黑暗又說噩夢的 但其實非常正面
困難不能打倒我們 正正就因為我們血氣方剛 遇到困難可以靠自己衝破 改變心態 創造世界
有時可能會因此迷失
但只要相信自己不是孤獨的 不自我放棄 終究能被找到 從迷途中被解救出來
歌詞的不是主角「I」而是主角們「We亅
也強調了「不是唯一一個」 有可以惺惺相惜 共同努力的人
聽到熱血沸騰
